Redford Water District Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for 2021

Saranac Water District Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for 2021

Standish Water District Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for 2021

The Standish Water District major upgrade is well underway and will continue through early spring. The project includes drilling a new well to allow for an additional water source, larger water storage facility and upgraded water disinfection facility. At least one Town Board member attends the biweekly meeting with the contractors, engineers and grant staff to receive updates on the progress of the project.

I would like to hold a Public Information Meeting regarding our water districts. More information will follow on the exact date, time and location. I am still looking for anyone interested in volunteering to serve on a Water District Board. As Board members move on and employees change, it is important to pass the knowledge about our water system operations to others. I have listed a few projects that that would make the operation of the districts easier:

· Update By-laws for each water system

· Review and update standard operating procedures, as needed

· Find and mark curb stops and document in each district

· Compile contact information on each user for quicker notification of repairs and Boil Water

Orders If you are interested in helping with any of these projects, please contact me at 518-726-0397 or counciman3 @townofsaranac.com.

Welcome to the beautiful Town of Saranac. Within the Adirondack Park under the brow of Lyon Mountain, in sight of Whiteface Mountain, blessed by its river, Saranac is often missed by the tourist speeding along Route 3 from the Northway to Saranac Lake or Lake Placid. But it is an area of unsurpassed beauty where a surprise waits 'round a corner to greet first-time visitor or long-time resident. Take the time to stop and look.Saranac's rolling hills and roads with striking mountains and valley views invite the tourist, whether by automobile, bicycle, or on foot, into the Adirondacks. The famous Saranac River, its quiet pools and miles of gentle flow punctuated by rapids and falls - including the famous High Falls - entices the fisherman as well as the sightseer and offers many points of public access with parking areas. True Brook, joining the Saranac at Moffitsville, is a precipitous, fast-flowing trout stream whose huge boulders provide refuge for the "big ones."
